Half Slotted Cartons
There are three varieties of Half Slotted Cartons (HSC):
- HSC with a cover
- HSC with partial telescope cover
- HSC with a full telescope cover
In an HSC with a cover, the cover is less than two-thirds of the depth of the body section. They are commonly used in shipping, shelf packages, and applications where the cover must be repeatedly removed and replaced. The cover for an HSC with a partial telescope cover extends at least two-thirds of the depth of the bottom, while the cover for an HSC with a full telescope extends the full depth of the box. HSC's with a partial telescope cover are commonly used for products which settle during shipment. HSC's with a full telescope are commonly used for fresh fruits and vegetables as well as other products.
